Research

Using genetically engineered mouse models, we earlier demonstrated the roles of COX-2 and TGF-β signaling pathway in colon cancer. Recently, we discovered novel metastasis suppressor Aes, and its role as an endogenous repressor of Notch signaling. We have further elucidated the mechanism of colon cancer invasion through activation of Notch-Dab1-Abl-RhoGEF Protein Trio. We are currently pursuing further analysis on the mechanism of colon cancer invasion and metastasis, as well as developing diagnostic methods for prediction of the patient outcome.
